The Puerto Rican Studies Hub convened a two-day symposium at the Pyle Center featuring sequential panels with scholars, artists, and practitioners reflecting on the present and future of Puerto Rican Studies. With no concurrent sessions, the program created a shared space for sustained conversation across the full gathering.
Discussions addressed the field’s histories, methods, institutional challenges, and future directions while bringing leading and emerging voices into dialogue at UW–Madison. The symposium also marked the forthcoming publication of Interrogating the Future of Puerto Rican Studies, edited by PRSH co-directors Aurora Santiago Ortiz and Jorell Meléndez-Badillo.
Light breakfast, coffee breaks, and lunch supported informal exchange throughout the two days.
